One of the greatest things about living in North Bay is being part of a safe community. Living in a safe community makes all the difference from walking outside, to sending your children to school each day.
The City of North Bay is served by the North Bay Police Service comprised of 98 police officers and 65 civilians.
Under Ontario’s Police Services Act, every municipality must provide adequate and effective police services in accordance with its needs.
This must include, at a minimum, all of the following police services:
- Crime prevention
- Law enforcement
- Assistance to victims of crime
- Public order maintenance, and
- Emergency response
